Holy Toledo, 4 days until I am a married woman!  There has been a lot of drama, as with all weddings, but I am going come out in the end a stronger woman, who knows what I want in life, surrounded by those who love me for who I am.

New book- Captivating.

9.

So, the wedding is 9 days away and I couldn't be more excited to get married to the man I can put up with for the rest of my life.
I was at work the other day doing what I always do, when I came across this book to put away, by accident. Well, I thought it was an accident, until I looked at the cover and then opened it to see what it was about, and I decided I needed this book.  So, I've been reading it, and it really has changed my life.  He is an amazing author, very honest and not afraid to admit his mistakes, plus its written like a memoir, which I love.

I have daddy issues, a lot of people don't even know because I never talk about it, my Dad didn't leave me as a baby, but he was never really there, and when my parent got divorced in the 5th or  6th grade I've always thought it was the best thing that ever happened to me.  Really, it would have been better to have a father to show me how to be a real woman.  He never even once asked me about my engagement, and I was engaged for 15 months.  I think he just doesn't get it at all.  He wants to blame me for being a bad daughter, really?  And, he will never say he's sorry.  I've made lots of mistakes in my life, but I got really lucky when I found Kris.

One of the biggest decisions I had to make for the wedding was choosing not to have my Dad walk me down the isle.  The good thing about that situation was I had to confront my Dad about how I have felt for a long time, but had never told him.  It was really hard, but I did it, and I did it as reasonable and respectful as I could.

If you have any daddy issues at all you should read this book.  I think I'm going to read more of his books.  And, I will be giving a copy to my sister.

-edit-
I offered to try and repair the relationship, but he's not interested.  He has informed me that he will not be at the wedding and that I am no longer to call him Dad.

YIKES!

16 day until the wedding of the century!!!!

(well, for us at least.)

Holy crapper, Its been a long engagement, 15 months to be exact, and now I have two weeks!  I've have my ups and downs, with big stressful things happening, but what can you do?  Lets just hope my eczema doesn't flair up a week before the wedding, otherwise I will be scheduling a cortisone shot, believe you me.  I'm not really the kind of person who gets stressed out, or at least I thought I wasn't until I discovered that I had eczema, maybe that's my body's way of dealing.

Overall, I am really excited and can't wait to be married to the love of my life, even though that is so cheesy.  I'm not normally cheesy, sorry.  I really want to spend the rest of my life with Kris, and I can't wait.
Last minute details to accomplish.

Officially order booze.
Meet with the DJ one last time.
Make our cheesy photo slideshow.
Order cheese.
Pay for the tuxes.
Do a hair/makeup trial.
mani/pedi.
Get things packed for the honeymoon,
and make reservations at the vineyards that need them.

Voila!!!!
Here we go, the final countdown!
Hey, look, its where we met!

Wedding Shower and Enagagement Photos

All of this happened this weekend.  Big weekend!  We had a couple's wedding shower thrown for us by friends of the family.  My sister was there taking photos so hopefully, I will have some to show later.  It was really nice, a lot of fun, and great to catch up with people.  I'll talk more about it when I get some photos to go along with it.

Engagement photos finally!  We went down to Norman to take some photos had a few hiccups and will go take more in a few week up in Chandler at my Mom's house.  But, the ones that my sister got are pretty awesome so far.  I'm on my way to work, so here are a few.
